Fisher 3582 Pneumatic Single-Acting Positioner
The Fisher™ 3582 Pneumatic Single-Acting Positioner intercepts a pneumatic input signal from a control instrument and regulates the supply pressure to the control valve actuator. This results in a precise valve stem orientation that is proportional to the pneumatic input signal. The 3582 is used with diaphragm-actuated, sliding-stem control valve assemblies.
3582NS positioners are engineered with materials that support outstanding performance at high temperature and radiation levels. Ideal for nuclear power applications, these devices feature O-rings that are EPDM (ethylene propylene) and diaphragms that are EPDM/meta-aramid. The meta-aramid diaphragm fabric offers the enhanced ability to uphold strength in these demanding conditions, while EPDM exceeds nitrile with its prominent shelf life and capacity to withstand high temperatures.
The 3582NS is qualified commercial grade dedicated, according to the 10CFR50, Appendix B, quality assurance program.
